چکیده

The antibacterial activity of root canal sealers may contribute to the eradication remaining bacteria in canals following shaping and debridement. aim study is assess antimicrobial effect 3 endodontic sealers: Sealapex™, EndoREZ™ Guttaflow bioseal™ against Enterococcus faecalis. This was a laboratory-based comparative testing three were tested unset 20 minutes after mixing setting. Testing setting enabled assessment aged 7, 14, 21 28 days. A total 150 samples used for study. divided into groups: • Group 1 (EndoREZ™) n = 45 plates, 5 control plates. 2 (Guttaflow bioseal™) 45, (Sealapex™) All materials exhibited some bacteria. overall greatest can be seen by (4.46, 0.01) on day 21, followed Sealapex™ (5.12, 0.05) 7 (6.37,0.08) 14. Under conditions this all E. faecalis with different behaviour patterns at times.

Antibacterial activity of different root canal sealers against Enterococcus faecalis

BACKGROUND The aim of the present study was to compare in vitro the antimicrobial activity of different root canal sealers against Enterococcus faecalis, prior and subsequent to setting. MATERIAL AND METHODS Agar diffusion test (ADT) was used for evaluating the antibacterial activity of non-set sealer while the direct contact test (DCT) was used for after setting. RESULTS ADT: Except for To...

Antimicrobial activity of three different endodontic sealers on the enterococcus faecalis and lactobacillus (in vitro)

Introduction: Growth and proliferation of the remaining microorganisms within the root canals may destroy the surrounding tissue of the root and leads to periapical lesion. Consequently, the complete elimination of microorganisms from the root canal is a n important goal of endodontic therapy. Endodontic sealers do not provide complete seal in root canal system, and micro spaces have always rem...

Antibacterial activity of two MTA-based sealers root canal sealers

Aim This laboratory study evaluated the pH and antibacterial activity of Endo CPM Sealer and MTA Fillapex by two different methods, using White MTA and Endofill as references for comparison. Methodology Antibacterial activity was evaluated against Enterococcus faecalis (ATCC 29212). The agar diffusion test (ADT) was performed to evaluate the effect before setting. The materials were placed in f...

In Vitro Evaluation of the Antibacterial Activity of Three Root Canal Sealers

INTRODUCTION Antibacterial activity is one of the desirable properties of an ideal sealer. This study aimed to compare the antimicrobial effect of three different sealers, i.e. resin (AH26), calcium hydroxide (Apexit) and zinc oxide eugenol (ZOE) based sealers. MATERIALS AND METHODS Direct contact test with agar diffusion was used in this in vitro study. The freshly mixed sealers were AH26, A...

Antimicrobial Activity of Three Root Canal Irrigants on Enterococcus Faecalis: An in Vitro Study

INTRODUCTION The aim of this study was to compare the antimicrobial effects of 2.5% Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHX) and BioPure MTAD (MTAD) on Enterococcus (E) faecalis-contaminated root canals of human extracted teeth. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy human intact extracted single-rooted teeth with straight root canal randomly divided into 5 groups: positive contro...
